| In The Beginning... Our Founder Troy Kolo started out with only a sign kit consisting of traditional sign paint and brushes plus hand tools including a mallet and wood chisels and crafted his first sign under the name of Artfully Yours, for a popular restaurant which both the sign and the restaurant in Clarks Summit, PA still stand today 21 years later! With an early avid interest in drawing and painting, visual artistic aesthetics including architectural styling, he set out to bring his artistic vision of commercial sign and graphic layout through an intensive traditional sign apprenticeship with a background of building and construction carpentry gained from his family's business and coupled the two with hard work and determination to form Artfully Yours Signs in 1988. Through the years brought acquisition of tools and vehicles, new and larger workspace shops and hands on knowledge of all things relating to commercial signage including neon flourescent and electrical signage from design to fabrication to installation to servicing. Back in the infancy of computer vinyl lettering and hand-cut vinyl graphics when hand painting of signs was still commonplace he had painted signs of all types and sizes up to on site billboard signs including such projects as street pavement graphics for the televised Santa Parade in Scranton, PA and numerous other professional graphic projects including several grade, intermediate, high school, university (Wilkes University, Marywood University, University of Scranton) and theater projects which adorn the entryways, atriums, hallways and grounds of these our areas well known private and public buildings including the Steamtown National Historic Site Having lettered restored bridges on the railway to historic specifications and lettering of locomotives. Changes over the years brought the buy out and acquisition of several sign companies to which now are combined to form Ardent Signs & Lighting. Now a full service sign company in all aspects including computer generated CAD/CAM of typography and graphics, CNC routering of numerous substrates, vinyl lettering and digitally printed graphics. Sign manufacture including one off cast aluminum foundry and steel/aluminum welding and fabrication, fiberglass resin wrapped dimensional signs to the latest of sign trends the LED type and motion graphics.
